CLEMENTON PARK & SPLASH WORLD TO HOST FUNDRAISER SUPPORTING WOUNDED SERVICE MEMBERS
Clementon, NJ 5/1/15 – Clementon Park and Splash World will be hosting a Military Appreciation Weekend from Friday, May 22nd through Monday, May 25th, 2015 to collect monetary funds throughout the weekend to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
More than 52,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The 20 programs and services provided by WWP are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.
Clementon Park and Splash World will be offering one (1) free admission ticket to all active, retired, and reserve military personnel with a valid military ID during Memorial Day Weekend. Military personnel will also be able to purchase tickets for family and friends for just $24.99 plus tax per person. Coupon to receive this special event will be located on the Park’s website. Tickets will be valid for a one-time entrance into the Park from Friday, May 22nd through Monday, May 25th, 2015. Hours of operation vary; please visit www.clementonpark.com for available dates and times.
